We are a greeting card company located in Cuenca, Ecuador. Our store showcase is open three days a week. Our products are available for purchase all year long, exclusively through this website. You can click on links below to jump through each of the sections listed.

      • Katy is not a real person, lol. Katy Cards is family owned company, operated by Kathy and her son, Thomas. The name "Katy" is a play on words for the letters "K" and "T".

        Kathy is the overall mastermind and brains of the entire operation. She makes all the executive decisions, and reigns demanding control over all her employees. Thomas only designs and creates the greeting cards.
      • After being in Cuenca for a while, we were fortunate enough to meet some really great friends. When the holidays came along, we wanted to share gifts with them the same way we did when we lived back the states.

        We searched everywhere, both high and low, for English greeting cards to show our thanks or express our joy. Well, after the umpteenth time of coming up empty, a light bulb finally went off and our company was born.
      • We have only two part-time employees. First is Kathy, the company owner and service representative. All card ideas come from her. Next is her son, Thomas, the card designer and website coding nerd. All the artwork displayed was created by him.
      • Our high quality greeting cards and thank you notes are created in-house at our graphic design studio, and printed exclusively in various shops located within Cuenca, Ecuador. We are extremely proud to use local materials and services.
      • Absolutely. Our online shop showcases every greeting card we have, but we would love for you to come see our high quality products in person. Stop by the store to see what we have in stock and to browse our newest items.
      • To reach our newest location, head south-west on Av Loja until you come to El Tiempo at Rodrigo de Triana. Take a left and proceed to the stop sign. Turn left on Santa Maria, then quickly turn right at the first street, which is also Rodrigo de Triana. Continue east about 30 meters or so. We are the third building located on the left, the only one with a black gate. Parking spaces are available directly in front. Our store address is 2-21 Rodrigo de Triana.
      • Our shop is open and available by appointment only, three days a week, including Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10AM till 2PM.

        Honestly, this company is run by a retired expat, who would rather be spending her day getting her nails done with friends, or playing Bilingual Bingo with Marty at Common Grounds, lol.
      • To schedule an appointment, for in-store pickup or just to browse our latest selection, please click the link located at the top or bottom of the page. Some appointment request times may not be available.So please plan accordingly.
      • Yes! All our cards can be converted to Spanish for our local friends. Our text conversion / translation service is completely free, but you must prepay for your greeting card using PayPal. For more information, check out our Spanish Greeting Cards page.
      • Yes! For a small fee, Our Design Team can take your message and add it to any greeting card. For more information, check out our Personalize Any Greeting Card page.
      • Again, yes! Our Design Team can take any idea you have and create an amazing greeting card from scratch. For more information, check out our Create Your Own Card page.
      • Same day pickup is available on most orders. Your order must be submitted by 1:30PM local time and the item must be currently available at our store. Your pickup appointment must also be confirmed via email or telephone.

        Most items can be ready for pickup within 30 minutes of the time the order is placed. Your order number and a form of ID are required for pickup. For more information, check out our Same Day Pickup page.
      • Sorry, no. Currently our greeting cards and thank you notes are available for in-store pickup only.
      • You can add unlimited items to this list to keep track of all the cards you're eyeing. When you make an appointment and visit our store, we will pull those items specifically for you. You can view the items up close, make your final choice and take home your favorite cards.

        To get started, you must first choose a greeting card or two to add to your Wish List. Simply navigate to the item's page and click the "SAVE CARD TO WISH LIST" link. You can add as many cards as you would like to your Wish List.

        Once you are finished browsing our greeting cards online, you can complete your Wish List by scheduling a visit to our store through the shopping cart. Be sure to fill in your name, email address and phone number, so we can confirm your appointment.

        Click the "ORDER NOW" button. After you have finished, you will receive an email containing the items in your list. On the day of your appointment, your cards will be waiting for you at our store.
      • Ha, great question! We release discount codes and vouchers all the time. Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for the latest updates, newest products and promotional sales codes.
